Fall Foliage Favorites!

Fall is officially here and it’s time to usher in the pumpkin spice lattes, salted caramel mochas, and the new chile mocha! Now, these drinks aren’t always friendly for your budget or your diet, but that doesn’t stop the PSL crave. If it’s you, your little ones, or the whole family in need of a pumpkin spice fix, sometimes a little DIY can go a long way to make things healthier, budget-friendly, and a bit more fun. Below you’ll find a few different recipes for some of the most popular fall drinks and of course, all of the ingredients can be found at Steeple Market!

diy psl fall drink latteYou Will Need:

2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)

2 tablespoons pumpkin puree

1 to 3 tablespoons sugar, depending on how sweet you like it

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus more for serving

1/2 cup strong hot coffee

Whipped cream, for serving

What to Do:

Check your cupboards for the all ingredients listed above. Anything you don’t have, head to Steeple Market to pick up what you need. Once you’ve got everything together and measured out, it’s time to begin!

Add milk, pumpkin puree, and sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. Heat until hot, but do not boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and the coffee. Divide the mixture between two mugs. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. All that’s left to do is enjoy your homemade pumpkin spice latte!
